The mission of the Office of Intellectual Property Management & Commercialization is to Make UNO Technology Relevant to Industry. The Office serves both university researchers and private sector companies seeking university partnerships. Our primary responsibilities to the University of New Orleans encompass the following areas:

• Protect New Ideas & Early-stage Research
• Patent, Market, and License Developed Technologies
• Locate Research Partners & Industry-related Funding
• Promote Faculty Entrepreneurship

As liaison to Industry, our office encourages academic / business alliances by offering the following services:

• Match Company needs with UNO’s Research and Business Resources
• Aid in Securing SBIR and Other External funding
• License UNO-developed Technologies
• Expedite Business Contracts & Agreements
